Anya – An Air Elemental of the Nifail, who was hidden in the city of Avlun to escape detection by the Church of Four Orders. She is in love with Teyak. |
Ashyl – A Water Elemental from Finndale who joins Sinika. |
Auyrwayn – The air dragon and guardian of the Air Gate. |
Baiyun – Gagee’s cousin. |
Behdwa’taku – A friend of Shi’taku’s who helps protect Portoreayl in defiance of Beh’kana. |
Behk’sah (Behk’kana) – A very powerful Ashanti mage who acts as an advisor and representative of the Sah clan to Keifa’kana. He believes he was passed over for being the next kana due to his power and chooses not to take a wife as is the Ashanti custom with those with very strong powers. His sister is Kita’sah and married to Keifa’kana. |
Beite – Darag’s younger sister. She fell in love with Laireag even though she was too young to choose by Kith tradition. She died during the fighting in Drufforth when the Church attacked the Kith. |
Bennet – One of the two leaders of the Temple in the Clouds and a brother to Tam. |
Beyhal – An Earth Elemental who helped Sinika fight the Kith when they attacked Solaire. He follows Sinika. |
Ci’erra – Originally one of the twelve members of the High Council of the Church of Four Orders. She is a Fire Elemental and a Valain, which is a rare combination. There are few Valian in Myrrah as it is a difficult land and a race that cherishes bravery, and proof of bravery, more than a long life. Elementals are rare to the Valain, and strong Elementals like Ci’erra are even more extraordinary. Ci’erra keeps a pet fire sprite, Seifa. She turned on the Church after Sinika sent her to be made into a new Curse and helped Ria find the Sphere of Fire. She and Ria and lovers. |
Cuileann – Kith. A friend of Darag and Beite. Of age with Laireag. He fell in love with Beite too but accepted her choice of Laireag. |
Dahal – an Erowok servant who obeyed Timpada. Sinika and Elantha caught him spying for the Erowok, tortured him and left him hanging in a cage that nullified his magic from a tower in Solaire. Whatay, his father, died along with Dahal when he tried to rescue him. |
Darag – Born in the forests of Lus na Sithchaine, Darag is a Kith, an isolated race whose skin resembles bark and whose soul is bound to a tree at birth. This kinship with the forest grants long life, as long as the life of their tree, to the Kith, but also tends to keep them hidden in the forest. All Kith are Spirit Elementals. Darag is the strongest of his people. He is married to Lavinia. |
Dezzirah – An Earth Elemental who leaves Solaire for the Temple of Rains and disagrees with the new Five Orders of Elementals as well as the oversight of the High Council. |
Ekhaba – The only remaining Ashanti city. It can float across the desert. |
Elantha (the Moon’s Light) – an Elemental like few others, she practiced her brand of magic under Sinika’s protection until the spirits she controlled began to drive her mad. Instead of protecting her, Sinika forced her to use her gift to help him fight the Kith until it lead to her death. |

Feiki’taku – A friend of Shi’taku’s who helps protect Portoreayl in defiance of Beh’kana. |
Felya – an Air Priestess who sails with Ty to guide merchant ships owned by Ty’s family |
Fyfthal – The fire dragon who is guardian of the Fire Gate |
Gagee – Yihn’s husband and a friend of Zhao’s. Tiak by birth and with no elemental abilities. |
Garam – A Fire Elemental who trained other Elementals to fight together in order to fight the Kith. He obeys Sinika and leads people to Akhetta. |
Grakkethi – The earth dragon who is guardian of the Earth Gate and Yminnyla, the Spirit Dragon. |
Isha – an Elemental Water dragon who built and guards the Marsh of Isha. |
Jeif’taku – The most powerful of Ashanti mages. He was to be named heir to the throne but when the strength of his abilities manifested, he was passed over and Keifa was named in his place. Due to the strength of his magic, he is not allowed to marry. He is an advisor and representative of the Taku clan to Rah’kana but put aside his place to help Lavinia and Darag, making him one of the first Ashanti to travel beyond the desert in centuries. He was trapped along with Leifa’den in the spirit realm. |

Keifa’kana (Keifa’shoo) – The king of the Ashanti people. Kana means king in their language and replaces the clan name. Keifa is of the Shoo clan and married to Kita’sah, Behk’sah’s sister. They have a daughter, Lyra’shoo. |
Kheten – One of the surviving members of the High Council of the Church of Four Orders, she is now on the new Council of Five Orders and represents the Temple of Stone, which she leads. Earth Elemental and Nifail born to the tribes of the Steppes of Umbrel |
Khodan – Born on the Island of Kailal during the War of the Orders (nearly 900 years before the Rise of the Fifth Order series begins), Khodan was captured by the newly formed/forming Church of Four Orders. They used his strong gift of magic against him, changing him into a creature that would hunt, and kill, those with magic. He now teaches in the Temple of Mists and is married to Niri. His abilities as a Spirit Elemental are amplified by a resonation of gifts when he touches Niri. |

Laireag – A friend of Zhao’s and Darag’s. He is a strong Air and Spirit Elemental, almost a match for Darag. He is Kith and fell in love with Darag’s sister Beite before she died. |

Lavinia – Ria’s best friend since childhood. Lavinia was born to a sailing family in Mirocyne. She has no elemental gifts by birth. She is married to Darag and so has become Kith through marriage. After Beite, her sister-by-marriage, died, she and Darag visited all the elemental spheres so she could touch them and gain some abilities to control elemental magic. |
Leifa’den – The only, and first, woman of the Ashanti to act as an advisor and representative of the Den clan to Rah’kana. She is Rah’kana’s daughter and was betrothed to marry Keifa’shoo, the heir to the throne, before casting the Ashanti ways aside to help Lavinia and Darag. She is one of the first Ashanti to travel beyond the desert in centuries. She was trapped in the spirit realm along with Jeif’taku. |

Misshal – A powerful Water Elemental who became a High Priest in the Council of Four Orders at Sinika’s request. He survived the fight in Drufforth against the Kith and became a member of the new Council of Five Orders representing the Temple of Solaire. |
Miyu – The daughter of Yihn and her husband Gagee. Zhao’s niece. |
Nahrhia (High Priestess) – One of the surviving members of the High Council of the Church of Four Orders, she is now on the new Council of Five Orders and represents the Temple of Solaire. Fire Elemental born along the Southern Shore in Fah Tyra. |
Niri (Nirine) – A Water Elemental born on the island of Tiero in the Archipeligo of Bellaia. Her abilities were discovered by the Church of Four Orders when she was nine, which is when she was taken to the Temple of Solaire to be trained as a Water Priestess. She rescued Ria and protected her, becoming one of the first Elementals to discover abilities in one element can mean latent gifts in others. She is married to Khodan and teaches elements at the Temple of Mists, which she and Khodan run. |

Rah’kana – The King of the Ashanti before Keifa’kana. Kana means king in their language and replaces the clan name. His reign was a period of peace and hope. The kingship rotates through the Ashanti clans but a clan can be skipped if the next in line shows too much power, as it is strong magic and ambition that lead to the Ashanti downfall. |

Rameth – An Earth Elemental (Son of Stone) born in Akypf a city along the dark Coast of Storms. He helps Ria and Zhao reach Vykipf located in the Mountains of Night. He is Western Sarkethian. |
Rekka’shoo – The Shoo clan representative and advisor to Beh’kana. |
Rhinnault – One of the original twelve members of the High Council of the Church of Four Orders. He is now one of the ten members of the new High Council of Five Orders and represents the Temple in the Clouds. Born in Finndale along the southern shore of the Sea of Sarketh and is a strong Air Elemental. |
Ria (Ariadne) – Born outside of Mirocyne, a small city along the north shore of the Sea of Sarketh, to parents who own a vineyard and orange/almond orchard. She fled Mirocyne when she used magic, a forbidden power, only to discover it is really a fifth elemental ability of spirit. She is on the new Council of Five Orders representing Spirit Elementals. |

Shajhar’bey – A friend of Shi’taku’s who helps protect Portoreayl in defiance of Beh’kana. |

Sinika – Fire Elemental born along the Archipeligo of Bellaia. He once led the Church of Four Orders and controlled the High Council. His power was cut by Lavinia during the battle in Drufforth when he led the Church to attack the Kith and he lost the ability to control magic. |

Temple in the Clouds – A hidden Temple unknown to the Church of Four Orders. It is located deep in the Mountains of Night along the Coast of Storms. The only way to access it is through the power nullifying black marsh. It is known locally as Vykipf and holds the Sphere of Air, which it uses to protect the Temple from the ever present storm. |
Temple of Incendia – The original home of Fire Elementals. The Temple was located on an island south east of the Island of Kailal before the entire island sank in a volcanic eruption before the War of the Orders. Survivors were rescued by a mysterious race known as Aquinians. |
Temple of Mists – Formerly known as the Temple of Ice after it was permanently frozen during the War of the Orders nine hundred years before. Now that it is restored, it is home to any Elemental who wishes to reside and be trained. It is located to the east of the Forest of Falin and the Kith. Niri and Khodan jointly lead the Temple and trainings. It houses the Sphere of Water. |
Temple of Rains – A small Temple created in Rah Hahsessah after a fire nearly destroyed the desert city. |
Temple of Solaire – Once the home of the Church of Four Orders, the Temple was built almost nine hundred years ago on the south western shore of the Island of Kailal after the loss of the Temple of Incendia. It holds the Sphere of Fire. |
Temple of Stone – Known as the Temple of Dust during its nine centuries of abandonment, now that it is restored it is the home to any Elemental who wishes to reside in the strange caverns cared out of a sinkhole in the desert of Ak’Ashanti. It is led by Kheten. |
Temple of Wind – The last temple to stand against the Church of Four Orders during the War of the Orders. It was located in the Alin Mountains north of Xiazhing and was the home of Air Elementals. Now only a single wall remains. |
Teyak – A Nifail chieftain of the Spirit Wind tribe who is in love with Anya. |
The Church of Four Orders – was the ruling force in the world of Myrrah. Based in the Temple of Solaire located on the Island of Kailal, it was headed by a High Council comprised of twelve of the most powerful Elementals. All Elementals that the Church discovered, usually at blessing ceremonies throughout the year, were taken from their families to be trained in Solaire and to serve the Church. The ability of magic, which could shape and transform living things, was considered an aberration and not an Elemental ability. Those with magic were hunted and killed. |
Ty (Tylee) – Lavinia’s older brother. He captains a merchant ship owned by his parents but is officially working for Tam. |
Whatay – Former elder and leader of the Erowok people. He died trying to rescue his son, Dahal, who was being held prisoner in the Temple of Solaire |
Yihn – Zhao’s sister. Tiak by birth and with no elemental abilities. |
Yminnyla – The spirit dragon and guardian of the Spirit Gate. Auyrwayn |
Zhao – Air Elemental born in Xiazhing and is Tiak. Tiak rules regarding Elementals are strict. They protected gifted children by hiding them from the Church while also confining them to an austere life where they cannot marry and live apart from every day society. He is a strong Air Elemental who learned to control the other elements including spirit. |
