How is everyone doing?
Summer seems to have finally arrived in Maine … now at the tail end of it! I’ve been taking full advantage with some camping and hiking/canoeing trips in between working on edits for the final books in Friends of my Enemy (book 3 releases on September 23rd!) and beginning to plot Fire of the Spheres, book 2 in Games of Fire!
During all of that, I also sat down with the stellar author JMD Reid for an interview. He asked some really fun and some really challenging questions! And since I’m behind on posting (mostly because I gave the best post I’ve written recently to Mythic Scribes – look for it in October!), I thought I would share that interview with you.

Interview with Autumn M. Birt
This week, I got to delve into the wonderful mind of Autumn M. Birt. She’s one of the many delightful indie authors I’ve discovered since embarking into the world of self-publishing. She has two series under he belt, a Fantasy series called ‘Rise of the Fifth Order’ (a wonderful series) and a dystopian future series Friends of My Enemy (on my TBR list).

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books would you want with you.
I’m a practical girl so the first two books would be one on botany and the use of any and all plants found on the island. I want to know what can be used to make fiber like linen and rope strength as much as poisonous or not! The second book would be Wilderness First Aid. You know, just in case!
