There are so many things going on writing-wise this month, that I hardly know where to begin. But at least, for once, I can report everything is going well!
The giveaway for Stories from the War, the first audiobook released in the dystopian Friends of my Enemy series, continues until July 12th. You still have time to enter here!
I’m still waiting on final formating and release of Spirit of Life on audiobook – and a HUGE giveaway to go with it. That will mark an entire epic fantasy trilogy complete in audio! Certainly something to celebrate, right? Hopefully that will be happening soon this July. I can’t wait!
Work has already begun on audiobooks for both Spark of Defiance, book 1 of Games of Fire, AND After the War, book 2 of Friends of my Enemy. I hope to seek a narrator for Gates of Fire & Earth later this month or early August. First, I want to get Spirif of Life out the door. 😉
On July 1, two new exclusive stories were released to my Patreon supporters. I’m having so much fun developing short stories and flash fiction for this new outlet. I’ve been wanting to write new Untold Stories but never made the time. Well with a new outlet, I’m finally getting them done. That feels great!
And, of course, writing continues on A New Goddess. I’ve passed the 1/3 mark and have the book outlined to chapter 20, which is about half way. Wow! The writing is so different from Gates of Fire & Earth, which is good. I didn’t know at times if I’d finish that book. Somehow I struggled through. But at least this final book in the Games of Fire trilogy is developing nicely and things look good for a late fall release!
After Games of Fire… well, there might be more from the World of Myrrah, but I have something different planned as a break – an idea I played with as far back as 2008 based on the files I just found on my first iBook! I can’t wait to finally dive into this story!!! Of course, I say that now… my mind will immediately start thinking of a new story line for the world of Myrrah as soon as I start writing it. Just the way writing goes! And not like I haven’t been thinking of another story line after Games of Fire anyway… There are so many stories I want to write!
But before I get that far, I still have so much to share with the books and audiobooks that are out now! In fact, I just updated all of my book files to fix links and update the format. Which lead… to reading Friends of my Enemy. Yup, all four books. I think I just found the downside of having a bundle… binge reading! Even when you’re the author. lol. Plus, there are so many great quotes that I’ve shared in the past that now I can turn into audio.

I love Thom Bowers narration for Born of Water. He really has a natural gift with pauses and building the story. Especially in such a dramatic event like Ria’s abduction in Sardinia.
