Meet the Worldbuilder

Author of The World of Myrrah, The Tainted Fae, Arcane Magic, and more. Join me on an adventure—where magic has consequences and hope must be earned.

Why I Write

I write stories where the stakes are real.

Where forbidden magic can cost a life. Where empires fall. Where gods wait in the dark. But I also write about the stubborn, relentless courage it takes to stand anyway.

Fantasy shaped me long before I became an author. The worlds I found in books stretched my understanding of compassion, strength, and possibility far beyond the limits of my own upbringing.

Now I write to pay that forward.

My characters fight, fail, rise, and try again. Because hope, when it is earned, is stronger than fear. And stories have the power to make us braver than we were before.

Rooted in the Real World

When I’m not writing about forbidden magic and fractured empires, you’ll likely find me outdoors—canoeing Maine waterways, hiking coastal cliffs, or wandering quiet landscapes where stories tend to surface.

Long before I published a novel, I studied how land shapes the people who live on it. With a background in ecology and years working in sustainable agriculture, I learned how soil, water, wildlife, and food quietly influence culture, power, and belief. I built maps. I worked with communities. I saw how geography writes its own stories.

That understanding follows me into every world I create.

When I begin a new realm, I start with the terrain. I sketch the landscape. I consider the ecology. I ask what grows there, what thrives there, what fails. I wonder how people would survive, what they would celebrate, and what gods they might imagine in response to the land beneath their feet.
Even the food matters.

By day, I’m also a UX designer—blending structure and creativity in ways that shape how I build complex systems, both digital and fictional.

And somewhere in the margins of it all is my dog—old now, but the quiet inspiration behind more than one stubborn, loyal character.

Adventure, craft, ecology, and imagination weave together in the stories I tell.
